Self-hosting
Plan, configure, and operate Agent Barn on infrastructure you manage.
- For
- Platform engineers and self-hosted operators
Choose the correct operating path
Self-hosting means running Agent Barn on infrastructure you manage. You provide the Kubernetes cluster, application addresses, persistent storage, and credentials for your installation.
Start by choosing the path that matches your task.
| Your task | Start here |
|---|---|
| Try Agent Barn on your computer | Run Agent Barn locally |
| Prepare an installation for your team | Configure production |
| Set the deployment configuration | Deployment configuration |
| Deploy the configured application to Kubernetes | Deploy to Kubernetes |
| Maintain an existing installation | Upgrade Agent Barn |
The AAI Labs hosted-service runbooks describe that team's infrastructure. You do not need access to those clusters or company accounts to plan your own installation. See AAI Labs hosted-service operations for the k3s branch deployments and the Talos public release workflow.
Communications is a separate process on port 8002, not part of Ingest. It owns Communication Connections, canonical Conversation Messages, Communication Deliveries, provider ingress and outbound recovery, and the Runtime-neutral protocol used by Hermes and OpenClaw. Connection credentials remain separate from Agent tool Integration credentials.
